PACEXL - GETTING STARTED

Installation and Operation

The CD cover tells you how to install the CD, how to run PaceXL and how to begin the "Quick Tour".
The "Quick Tour of PaceXL" provides an overview of the key features of PaceXL.
It is the best way for new users - instructors and students - to gain an introduction to the software.
The "Quick Tour of PaceXL" is the first item located under the PaceXL menu item.
To move through the Quick Tour Screens, click the >> arrows. Use the scroll button to page down the screen.
There are also numerous "Tours-Tutorials" - explained below - with detailed instructions for specific routines and options.

Help System and Tutorials

PaceXL has an extensive Help system to provide advice and assistance.
Tours (including the Quick Tour) and Tutorials are part of the Help system. They include step-by-step instructions and examples for each statistics routine.
The full range of Help in PaceXL can be seen by selecting the third item located under the PaceXL menu item.
When using Help, use the >> arrows to page through the screens and the scroll button to page down the screen.
The Help screen will remain "On-top" of Excel, so that you can operate the software while having the instructions "up front".
The Help system has standard search, browse and print facilities.
